Solo Leveling: The Global Phenomenon
Solo Leveling has become a massive global hit, recently launching an official anime adaptation at the start of this year. The film has generated significant buzz in the community, leading to quick confirmation that a second season is on the way following the first.

Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is the official sequel that unfolds after the events of Solo Leveling, following the journey of Sung Suho, the son of the main character, Sung Jinwoo. While the web novel has several chapters already, it will soon be adapted into a Webtoon format.
The Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Webtoon is set to officially launch on August 1, 2024, on the KakaoPage platform. A special launch event will occur on July 31, 2024, at 10 PM local time.
Author Chugong will not be directly involved in the development team for this project; the adaptation duties have been given to Dangdo from REDICE Studio for converting the story into Webtoon format, while Jin will handle the artistic aspects. However, the team has already issued an initial statement about the project.
In a public announcement regarding the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Webtoon release, the creative team stated (in a press release for The Economist): “We have put in a lot of effort into producing the Webtoon to capture the audience’s attention and the hearts of readers. We hope to bring the story to life through characters like Sung Suho, as well as the captivating action sequences that will keep fans engaged.”
Sung Suho is the son of Jinwoo and Cha Hae-in, and the storyline of Ragnarok will showcase his powerful inheritance from his father as he embarks on his own adventures. This development occurs at a pivotal moment when Jinwoo himself is grappling with the challenges of a new world.
The content of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is officially summarized as follows: “The existence of the world is once again threatened when Itarim, the deity of various domains, seeks to reclaim the vacuum left by the Absolute Being. Sung Jinwoo has no other choice but to rely on the incredible powers of his son and begin a journey that he had once realized.
