The latest chapter of the manga Spy x Family begins with Anya returning to school after the break. The classes are divided based on students’ grades, but Anya’s “plan to make friends” continues as Damian is still in the same language class with her. However, the events outside Eden Academy are becoming increasingly concerning, especially as the narrative shifts focus to Yor, who is taking on a new mission in the southwestern region of Ostania.
The Shopkeeper (the leader of the infamous Garden organization) is worried about the rare species of deer in the Miteran area, a significant operation that involves large-scale activities and even dealings with Western countries, posing a potential danger to the ongoing tension between East and West due to a vast area being a non-military zone.
Since the Garden organization cannot afford to lose its operational secrecy, they must prevent any potential threats from occurring. It’s not just the deer species that are at risk; even the wild animals in the region present a challenge for the assassins assigned to carry out missions.
Consequently, besides Yor and Matthew, the Shopkeeper wishes to recruit another assassin to assist them. Hemlock, a newly introduced character in chapter 115, has volunteered to join. However, the main point of interest in this chapter is Yor’s advanced assassin skills being put to the test in front of her brother, Yuri.

Connections Between Garden and the National Security Agency
For the undercover agent, Garden has long been a covert police organization operating in Ostania. Its extreme secrecy often turns it into a folk legend. However, like Yor, each member of Garden possesses exceptional assassination skills. The Shopkeeper, who lives in a tall building with windows, rarely receives visitors, primarily those of high rank or members of Garden.
Wilker, the director of the National Security Agency (SSS), is a familiar figure to the Shopkeeper. Wilker visited the Shopkeeper’s tall building in chapter 115, bringing along a list of tasks. He attempted to convince the Shopkeeper to collaborate with the Prime Minister in the power struggle, but was rejected, as Garden only engages in national interests, not in a political coup.
Among the many tasks listed, the task concerning the rare species of deer in Miteran caught the Shopkeeper’s attention. Shortly after Wilker’s departure, the Shopkeeper assigned missions to Yor and Matthew before Hemlock volunteered to join them.
However, the familiar relationship between Wilker and the Shopkeeper presents a significant threat to Yor. Wilker was the one who recruited Yuri into the SSS and placed a very high value on him. Currently, it is still unclear whether Wilker is aware of the existence of the assassins from Garden, but the likelihood is low. Unlike the Shopkeeper who hides himself in the tall building, the assassins usually operate outside while maintaining a normal life. They may not want their true identities to be exposed, especially since they are not directly involved in the missions of the organization.

Deep Relationships and Secrets Between Yuri and Yor
One of the key themes of Spy x Family is how the main characters conceal their true identities from their closest family members. Yuri, though only in his early twenties and a Deputy in the SSS, keeps his work secret from his sister.
Meanwhile, Yor has been an assassin since she was very young and has never revealed this aspect of her life to anyone, including Yuri. The two siblings lost their parents when they were still kids, and Yor, being older than Yuri by seven years, has taken on the role of caring for her younger brother.
However, considering Yuri’s protective nature, Yor knows that it’s best he doesn’t find out about her dangerous profession. Similarly, Yuri’s job is fraught with risks, and maintaining their secret identities is essential.
Typically, because the siblings work for different organizations, they have no direct interactions. However, both Garden and the SSS operate for the benefit of Ostania, and with their close ties to the people running the operations, Yuri and Yor could accidentally encounter each other in the future. The connection between Wilker and the Shopkeeper may ultimately drag the two siblings into a perilous situation where Yor’s secret could be revealed to her brother, who constantly worries for her well-being.
