Steam Offers a Limited-Time Free Game: Isle of Jura
Rarely do we see titles being offered for free, especially on platforms like Steam, which often “surprise” gamers with sudden 100% discounts on popular games. This time, right at the beginning of March, players can claim a free game on Steam titled Isle of Jura.

About Isle of Jura
For those who may not know, Isle of Jura is an adventure game that combines simulation and fishing mechanics, developed by EM Games, an indie studio based in Scotland. The game was first released in February 2022 and has since received hundreds of reviews from the gaming community on Steam. However, only 60% of those reviews are positive, which places the game in the “Average” ranking on Valve’s platform. Just a few weeks after celebrating its three-year anniversary, Isle of Jura is now being offered completely free on Steam. Previously, this title had seen discounts of over twenty occasions, with its lowest price being $0.49.

This marks the first time Isle of Jura has been made entirely free. In the game, players take on the role of Alex, a high school student who embarks on a fishing expedition to complete a biology report as part of a personal challenge. To gather data, Alex travels to a remote island called Jura, known for its unique species of fish. The game’s environment is inspired by the real Jura Island, located off the west coast of Scotland, part of the Inner Hebrides archipelago, near Islay. With over 50 species of fish for players to discover, the game offers a rich fishing experience. Players can also unlock various fishing techniques throughout their journey. Besides searching for new fishing spots, players can explore numerous hidden collectibles scattered across the island. Several NPCs also appear on Jura, providing opportunities for Alex to interact and advance the storyline.

The game’s original price is $4.99, making it one of the most affordable options in the simulation genre on Steam. The free promotion will end on March 10, so be sure to grab it while you can!
