Châu Tinh Trì shared that he has completed the script and is currently searching for female actresses from around the world. “All new actresses will be appreciated and the more diverse, the better,” he stated. He emphasized that the candidates must be beautiful, talented in acting, and possess a strong physical presence.
However, the applicants must submit unedited portrait photos taken recently, without any Photoshop or beauty-enhancing software, along with necessary information. If any application is found to be doctored, it will be eliminated immediately.
Châu Tinh Trì will use the soundtrack from the film Shaolin Women’s Soccer, which he directed 22 years ago, in the video clip calling for actresses. It appears that the plot of Shaolin Women’s Soccer is a female version of Shaolin Soccer. However, details regarding the storyline will have to wait until the production team reveals more information.
Shaolin Soccer was a massive success with box office earnings reaching $42.8 million against a production cost of $10 million. The film received 14 awards, enhancing Châu Tinh Trì’s fame.
