“Surf” – The “Offline Game” of Microsoft Edge
Surely, gaming enthusiasts have experienced “going offline” at least a few times, having to immerse themselves in the world of the dragon game on the Chrome browser, right? However, what many may not know is that not only Google Chrome but also other browsers have similar “offline” games. A notable example is the “Surf” game available on Microsoft Edge.

Similar to the dragon game on Google Chrome, Surf can be accessed when the device is not connected to the Internet and can also be accessed by typing “edge://surf” into the Edge address bar.

Surf features very simple gameplay, allowing players to control a surfer who rides on waves, moving left and right to dodge obstacles, with the goal of riding waves as far as possible to escape from a giant Kraken chasing them.
Surf “Surprises” Players with an Update Just in Time for Valentine’s Day
According to information from IT Home, William Devereux, Director of the Microsoft Edge project, shared on social media about the updated version of the “Surf” game on February 15, 2025. One of the most notable changes in this new version is the improved graphics. All in-game images have been revamped, providing a clearer visual experience while maintaining the original design style.

This upgrade makes the game more vibrant and engaging, enhancing the player’s experience without losing its original charm. Currently, players can experience character customization, allowing them to freely choose their character’s appearance. Not only can they change outfits, but players can also modify hairstyles, colors, and add accessories like hats and sunglasses.

Along with the upgrade, Surf will also introduce a new currency system. In this new update, players will have the opportunity to earn more coins, making it easier to achieve higher scores. Overall, these changes will definitely make Surf more attractive, continuing to be a “surfing” game for players even when they are offline.
