March 27th Was a Day Filled with New Game Releases on Steam
From Atomfall – a survival action game, The First Berserker: Khazan – a challenging soulslike title, to Karma: The Dark World – a psychological horror masterpiece, this release day was packed with exciting new games. However, among all these titles, none seemed to grab more attention than ENA Dream BBQ – a unique experience that offers a surreal perspective and is currently captivating the gaming community.

Recently, Abstract and Non-traditional Games Have Captured Unexpected Attention on Steam. However, ENA Dream BBQ Stands Out as Exceptional.
This game is entirely free, completely illogical, and is the brainchild of Joel G, a well-known YouTuber and animator. The game draws inspiration from the surreal animated series ENA, which is known for its vibrant colors and psychedelic style, combining elements from classic PC games of the late ’90s and 2000s. For those unfamiliar, ENA is a character characterized by a dual-layered face with changing colors and expressions. As emotions shift, the expressions on the face transform – from colors to distinct shapes. This series offers bizarre adventures, with visuals and sounds reminiscent of an alternate dimension. Since its debut in 2020, ENA’s episodes have garnered millions of views, attracting a dedicated fan base.

It comes as no surprise that the gaming community is buzzing about ENA Dream BBQ, with its first chapter titled “Lonely Door” being released for free on Steam. On launch day alone, the number of players peaked at nearly 11,000, a remarkable figure for any indie studio. ENA Dream BBQ has been in development for a considerable time, with its first announcement made back in 2021. The development team has also confirmed that subsequent chapters will be premium games, unlike the free-to-play “Lonely Door.”

Thousands of positive reviews have poured in since the initial launch day, pushing ENA Dream BBQ to an impressive rating of nearly 98% on Steam. Currently, ENA Dream BBQ has officially launched, and the first chapter, Lonely Door, is completely free to download.
