The “Shopkeeper” Bug in League of Legends Could Make Players Lose Matches
In League of Legends, alongside various champions like junglers and support characters, there exists a notable NPC that players often overlook. This is the Shopkeeper in the game – a character commonly found in the base and helps players purchase items for their champions. This character cannot be attacked, regardless of how intense the battle may be outside.

However, according to some game testers, a significant bug has emerged that enables players to accidentally attack the Shopkeeper during matches. This means that if the Shopkeeper is hit, players will be unable to purchase items for their champions during the match.

League of Legends Community Reacts to Riot’s Lack of Response to the Bug
With this bug, if the Shopkeeper of any team gets accidentally attacked, players will be unable to buy new items or upgrade existing items through the normal means. According to Vandiril (a bug-sleuthing expert in the League of Legends community), players can only purchase items when they are not in a state of cooldown and have sacrificed themselves.
Thus, if players want to buy items again after being interrupted, they have to be eliminated, meaning they cannot claim victory if the opposing team is significantly stronger and they have been eliminated too many times. As a result, with many games, encountering this bug can almost guarantee a loss.

– What will happen with the code if it is exploited?
– Is the Shopkeeper now treated as a targetable unit?
– Players can unintentionally attack the Shopkeeper of the opposing team
However, the Riot has yet to take any definitive stance on this issue, even though the bug has been present for several days.
