T1 Sets “Disappointing Achievements” in the Worst History of League of Legends
The defeat against HLE is not a surprising incident at this point, but the manner in which T1 lost is significant. It is clear that T1’s loss to HLE cannot be dismissed lightly and is quite disappointing. Notably, in their recent encounters, T1 has even struggled to take down HLE, resulting in a significant loss for them. Moreover, Faker and his teammates have set a record for “forgotten achievements.”

Specifically, in the second game of the match, T1 failed to secure any objectives from HLE, including all six dragons, the Baron, and the Rift Herald. T1 was unable to claim any resources during the match, highlighting their overall poor performance. This can be considered a complete defeat for T1. Additionally, T1 is the only team among the four strongest teams (HLE, Gen.G, DK, T1) that has achieved such “forgotten achievements” against HLE in the past three years (during which HLE began rebuilding into a “star-studded” team).

Moreover, since T1 started applying the duo strategy of Xayah and Rakan, this is also the first time this combo has failed in LCK when used by T1. In the Summer Split of 2022, they were “shut down” before Kwangdong Freecs, leading to this strategy being nearly “banished.” All these “achievements” occurred right after Faker celebrated his 1000th match in LCK history.

Has T1’s Roster Accumulated Sufficient Data?
One undeniable fact is that T1’s roster, featuring Gumayusi, has taken a hit, throwing Smash into the mix, but he has only recently been playing the champions that Gumayusi typically uses or prefers. Champions like Kai’Sa and Ezreal have not been utilized effectively or are only used when the opponent seems to be “weak.” Meanwhile, Zeri has been “out of meta” for a while and also fails to perform well.
When T1 used Smash in the duo strategy of Xayah and Rakan, it overshadowed the performance of the duo Guma – Keria, leaving T1 fans feeling discontented. Currently, many fans are hoping that T1 will end this unproductive rotation soon to still have a chance to compete in the upcoming tournament.
