Superstar T1 Makes History, Adds Another Record to MSI Legacy
It can be said that the final match of the MSI 2025 branch between T1 and Gen.G was an epic showdown where both teams showcased their skills until the last moments. Gen.G emerged victorious, but T1 had nothing to regret as they fought valiantly against a stronger opponent. In this intense battle, the spotlight was on the two AD carries, both of whom did not disappoint. If Ruler had a victory, Gumayusi also shone brightly with numerous compliments.

– In the intense match of the two AD carries, these two players were almost flawless throughout all 5 games
– T1 faced challenges, but Gumayusi shined even brighter
– Gumayusi played exceptionally well, dominating his lane, and when he turned to face the enemy, the team achieved a “fast finish”
Additionally, with a standout performance on Corki in game 4, Gumayusi also became the player with the highest kill count in one match during the MSI 2025, surpassing Elk, who was considered a strong contender against Gumayusi in the final match. His position only lagged slightly behind Chovy (1428 kills/min) and JackeyLove (1437) – the two players currently leading in kills.

Gumayusi Remains a Vital Asset for T1
Throughout the 5 matches, a clear trend emerged: regardless of Chovy’s performance, Gen.G always found a way to provide the best resources for Ruler. Notably, even when Ruler utilized Senna and the team composition included 4 tanks, T1 struggled to counter this strategy. Consequently, T1 truly needs to “learn” how to utilize their strongest assets against Gen.G’s compositions. Gumayusi can definitely hold his own against Ruler if the conditions are right.

With the current meta heavily favoring AD carries and being a central theme of this year’s MSI, if T1 wants to succeed, they must ensure that Gumayusi is given the opportunity to shine. The 2002-born AD carry has already demonstrated remarkable prowess and T1 must fully leverage their superstar’s potential.
