Teacher Ba, Van Tung… caught in the crossfire of the “slanderous campaign”
Recently, the gaming community in Vietnam and internationally has been abuzz as multiple X accounts linked to prominent KOLs and streamers of League of Legends (LoL) Vietnam have been continuously sharing information regarding the infamous “Zeus” Choi Woo-je, a former player of T1. Notable names such as Teacher Ba, commentator Van Tung, and Hoang Sama have been mentioned, expressing their apologies for revelations due to a slip-up while commenting on the “Zeus” situation.
The reason behind this controversy stems from these accounts suggesting that certain KOLs had “negative” thoughts about Zeus’s departure from T1 over four months ago. Specifically, they highlighted moments that sparked heated debates, such as Teacher Ba throwing Zeus’s image into the trash and comments made by commentators Van Tung and Hoang Sama during a livestream. The specifics of who was involved remain unclear, but these actions quickly went viral, racking up hundreds of thousands of views just minutes after being posted.

Teacher Ba, Van Tung’s views on Zeus… facing “backlash” after more than 4 months?
It is certain that the public’s interest around Zeus has not waned significantly over the past four months. The recent transfer of this player to HLE has sparked considerable “waves” in the gaming community. Many KOLs, streamers, and notable figures in the Vietnamese gaming scene have voiced their personal opinions. Despite public sentiment being somewhat divided, the situation has gradually calmed down over time.

Thus, it seems that once again, Zeus is at the center of controversial discussions that are arguably unfounded. In recent days, this drama has been “revived” as T1 faced criticisms regarding their handling of the player, especially when ThePlay – representing Zeus – had a different stance regarding their relationship, leading to significant online discussions.

Many opinions are currently surfacing, fueled by the ongoing situation. However, the KOLs mentioned seem to have lost interest in the Zeus affair. It remains unclear why these comments have turned into negative examples so quickly. Nevertheless, it can be said that the ongoing discourse is gradually leading the community to become more cautious.
