Rise of the Phuc Kich Team in TFT Season 13
In the previous version of TFT Season 13, the Phuc Kich team was already in a state of critical weakness as all champions were nerfed significantly. The outcome has seen Phuc Kich nearly disappear from the meta, creating conditions for the rise of “Fast 9” teams. It seems that Riot Games also felt that the TFT meta was leaning heavily towards power spikes and not necessarily strategic ideas. Therefore, in patch 13.3, adjustments were made with significant buffs aimed at revitalizing the Phuc Kich team.

Specifically, the two champions’ core abilities in this meta include Camille and Smeech, both receiving increased damage or significantly reduced energy costs. This allows them to deal massive damage when executing rapid combos against opponents. Furthermore, top-tier players are also seeking to combine their strategies with the Phuc Kich team to enhance resource generation, preparing to level up quickly in later stages to compete with the dominating “Fast 9” teams.
Building a “New” Phuc Kich Team in TFT Season 13
With the initial rounds, players can focus on premium champions with high value like Powder, Steb, and Trundle to ensure frequent damage. At level 4, Camille naturally becomes a significant asset when effectively utilizing her increased damage from the Phuc Kich team synergy. If you are lucky enough to find Smeech at level 5, players will find it much easier to secure victory streaks.

In mid-game, players can replace Trundle with Renni and add Singed to activate level 3 Phuc Kich synergy with Smeech. With the nature of the reroll build, during the search for a 3-star Smeech, players will often find losing streaks quite manageable, and it will accumulate quite a bit towards this synergy. According to recommendations from top players, the “early pull” strategy is most suitable for this team build when reaching 400 points in resource generation to level up Smeech quickly.

As for the late game, champions like Ekko or Jinx will naturally become key players to complete the 5 Phuc Kich team. Additionally, Garen and Scar are also excellent choices to increase levels for other champions, avoiding them being taken out too quickly before executing their skills. If you manage to find more Phuc Kich champions, players can also explore using other champions like Ambessa or even Warwick if luck is on their side.

Some Tips for Building the Team
Since Camille and Smeech are the core champions, items like Gunblade, and Infinity Edge should be prioritized for them. During the stack process for Phuc Kich, if the Cosmic Blade appears, players can “early pull” much sooner than the 400-point cap to maximize Smeech’s damage potential quickly. In terms of item synergy, items like Hextech Gunblade or B.F. Sword should be prioritized for a stronger “frontline” setup. Additionally, other item combinations that increase damage and survivability also work very well with this team.
