Overview of the Gragas Brawler Build
This can be considered a build that has been adjusted in DCL Season 14, yet it embodies the “innovative build” concept, allowing players to be more creative in their approach. However, it’s also a highly competitive build, strong enough to help players consistently achieve at least a top 4 finish if executed properly and not falling behind the “meta.”

Building the Gragas Brawler Build
Firstly, the key item required for this build is the Brawler’s Assault. This item significantly enhances Gragas’s core attributes, making him a formidable tank: health regeneration and damage reduction. Additionally, the Gragas Brawler Build has the unique ability to sustain damage while creating an effective area control that is hard to break through. In many scenarios, it can act as a solid anchor for players to “hold the line.”

Initially, players should utilize Gragas when he is at Brawler’s level. Therefore, simply adding one Brawler’s item, such as Alistar, would be an ideal choice to synergize with the later stages. Additionally, players can consider using the build with Duelist to complement the damage output. Thus, at this stage, players might opt for Shaco (1 gold) and Darius (2 gold) if they roll effectively.

By the mid-game stage, players need to roll for a 3-star Gragas and have appropriate items to enhance their tank capabilities as he will serve as the primary tank for the team. With the later game marksman, Vayne will be a more suitable choice than Shaco. Moreover, players should aim to roll at least 2 more Brawler items and trigger 4 Brawler synergies combined with Guardian or Battle Mage to maximize their tanking potential.

Ultimately, whether players can achieve a high ranking depends on the marksman synergy with items such as Vayne (who needs to reach 3-star status), Zed, and potentially even Kobuko—a 5-gold unit that, despite being nerfed, is still incredibly useful if equipped with the right items.
The complete build at level 8: Gragas – Kobuko – Mordekaiser – Aurora – Jarvan IV – Cho’Gath – Vayne – Leona.
If players can reach level 9 or 10 or acquire supporting items (such as Gold Synergy or Battlefield Strategy), they can trigger either 6 Brawler synergies or 4 Duelist synergies.

Strengths and Key Points
This is a build designed for flexibility, where core units only cost 2 and 3 gold, and Gragas is not a unit that faces significant competition for resources. Additionally, Gragas’s Brawler position can provide substantial health regeneration for the entire build—an essential factor for many current tanks, including even frontline units.
However, it should only be considered a viable “innovative build,” as there are times when players cannot effectively utilize Brawler’s Assault.
