Recently, a new report confirmed that IDW Publishing is preparing for a unique crossover event between Naruto and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yes, the crossover between these beloved ninja turtles and Naruto is indeed happening. This special event was announced during a panel with Viz Media, where attendees received the first glimpses of this significant collaboration.
As you can see below, the two covers for the first issue of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto crossover have been revealed. Jorge Jimenez and Hendry Prasetya are the artists for the main cover, while Raul Angulo handles the coloring, with Ed Dukeshire as the letterer.
For the writing, Caleb Goellner has been chosen to pen the crossover story, consisting of five issues. In an interview with IGN, the writer expressed excitement about introducing our favorite heroes, especially thrilled to work with some of the best talents in the comic and manga industry.
Currently, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto crossover is set to debut on November 13. IDW Publishing has provided a brief synopsis of this crossover event, stating: “This is the ultimate ninja showdown that you’ve always dreamed of, if you dare! The turtle ninjas collide with the heroes of Konoha in a crossover event that everyone will be talking about.”
The storyline of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto crossover is as follows:
“When teenage reporter April O’Neil has a secret meeting with Tsunade, the leader of the Hidden Leaf Village, this encounter has caught the attention of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi. However, they are not the only ones interested in what these two are discussing. The Foot Clan also has a particular interest in April’s mission, as they suspect she may have information valuable to a scientific project being conducted by Baxter Stockman. With April caught between the forces of the Hidden Leaf and the Foot Clan, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will come to her aid!”
While Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi will look familiar to fans of their anime and manga series, the turtles Raphael, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Donatello will have a fresh appearance as they step into the Hidden Leaf Village. In another notable twist, the turtles will not be alone in this new crossover event.
