Tencent’s New Survival Game “Codename: Outpost” to Launch Mobile Testing
If you have been following the activities of Tencent, you may have noticed that this game publisher has revealed a new survival game titled Codename: Outpost. This project combines elements of survival gameplay and world exploration, with plans to launch on PC in 2025.

However, information regarding this game has been “quiet” compared to the initial buzz. Just a few days ago, Tencent finally “opened the floodgates” and revealed details about its upcoming mobile version. Specifically, the publisher confirmed that Rust Mobile – the mobile survival version of Codename: Outpost – will enter a Closed Beta Test (CBT) lasting 7 days, starting April 16 in China.

Previously, Rust Mobile gained attention during its Alpha Test held in Canada in February. In this latest testing phase, players will step into a vast and dangerous wasteland where they must gather resources, build shelters, and craft tools while contending with hostile elements and environmental challenges.
Is Signing Up for Tencent’s Game Test Complicated?
If you are eager to experience the hotly anticipated Rust Mobile, the recruitment for CBT players officially opened and will last until April 13. However, signing up can be quite complex; the game requires players to use Chinese language settings, complete a survey, and answer a series of questions during registration. Moreover, even if you successfully register, all game data will be wiped after the testing period ends, which only lasts for 7 days.

Although Tencent has yet to officially announce a global release schedule, with rapid development and testing strategies being employed, it is likely that the Vietnamese gaming community will see Rust Mobile “ride the wave” in the near future.
