The filming of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” has undergone a rigorous process, presenting significant challenges for the cast involved. Recently, Halle Bailey, who stars as Ariel in the live-action adaptation, has been spotted in various behind-the-scenes moments, sharing anecdotes about her experiences on set.

The actress who serves as Halle Bailey’s stand-in is Yasmin Harrison. Not only did she assist Bailey during challenging scenes, but Yasmin also performed as the “dance double” for several musical segments featuring Ariel. In photos taken alongside Halle Bailey, Yasmin Harrison has been noted for her striking resemblance and beauty, standing out as a captivating presence.

Moreover, Harrison revealed that she had the opportunity to perform in front of the crew during a significant scene featuring Halle Bailey, particularly during the emotional moment when Ariel sings “Part of Your World.” Yasmin shared that her own performance was reviewed by the production team, who later allowed Halle Bailey to step into the role. Harrison’s interpretation gained traction on social media, with her TikTok video garnering nearly 6 million views, praised for her remarkable vocal strength.

Additionally, Harrison also appeared in several scenes of the segment “Under the Sea,” where Halle Bailey is seen seated. The stand-in contributed significantly to various underwater scenes and is credited in the film’s end credits. Before “The Little Mermaid,” she had participated in two other Disney projects, “Aladdin” and “Lemonade Mouth,” which earned her recognition and admiration from audiences.

Currently, after more than a week of release, “The Little Mermaid” has surpassed $236 million in global box office revenue. However, these figures are under scrutiny as ticket sales in the U.S. have been declining week by week. In Vietnam, the film has dropped to the sixth position, overshadowed by other titles like “Doraemon,” “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” and the Korean film “The Drug King.” By the end of the weekend on June 3rd, the film managed to earn just over 9.3 billion VND in Vietnam.
