Months ago, Dynasty Warriors: Origins announced its launch in 2025, marking a significant milestone in the gaming world with a successful debut.
The game is being praised as the highest-rated entry in the series, boasting the largest player base in modern times. While it has received numerous positive reviews, there are also several criticisms that developers must address.

The main highlight is the overwhelming dialogue from NPCs in Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
Almost as if in every version, players of Dynasty Warriors: Origins will experience extensive interactions with the characters in their journeys. While this feature can enhance the player’s understanding of the story, the sheer volume of dialogue can become overwhelming. Many players have expressed frustration with the incessant chatter from NPCs, making it difficult to focus on gameplay. There have been instances where players needed to mute the game entirely just to avoid the constant dialogue interruptions.

Fortunately, Koei Tecmo has acknowledged this issue and made changes. In the latest version, the developers have allowed players to mute NPC dialogues. There are two options available: one allows for a more immersive experience with less frequent interruptions, or players can choose to completely silence all NPC dialogues. This change has been met with significant appreciation from the community, especially from players who felt overwhelmed by the previous volume of dialogue.

It’s important to note that this isn’t the first time a game has made adjustments for player comfort regarding dialogue. Titles like God of War: Ragnarok also allowed players to mute Atreus and Freya’s dialogues. Previously, Horizon Forbidden West had given players the option to skip treasure-related dialogues from Aloy, enhancing their gaming experience.
