When a new anime series Dragon Ball was announced featuring the participation of creator Akira Toriyama, fans were very excited. However, this excitement was somewhat dampened when Toei Animation decided to shorten a storyline that included the Z Fighters into a smaller version of the original.
Some fans consider this storyline a “remake” of Dragon Ball GT, while others feel that the changes made to the original plot have overly “dumbed down” the Z Fighters. Daima has indeed reversed the situation since the film’s release. One of the main reasons for this is the significant changes in the storyline that Daima has implemented.
Among the biggest changes introduced in Daima concerning shonen films is the information regarding the Namekians. The early episodes confirmed that although their skin color is green, this particular group may actually be living on another planet. However, Piccolo and his race have a direct connection to the Demon Realm (Dai Ma Gioi).
The Namekians have distanced themselves from the Demon Realm because they “do not want to be controlled.” Given that the Demon Realm is filled with many evil forces, the idea of Namekians seeking refuge on another planet to find a new home is quite understandable.

In the past, King Piccolo – a Namekian – once played a significant role in the original Dragon Ball series. He was the first “evil character” introduced by Akira Toriyama, and now we know that he has origins from the Namekian race. King Piccolo created an evil army made up of his offspring, resembling monsters that turned the peaceful planet into a hellish landscape, with his initial goal being to gather Dragon Balls to regain his youth.
Later, Supreme Kai (Goi Vuong Than) – the guardians of the universe – were also revealed to have ties to the Demon Realm. Their current form is called Glind, and the true name of the Kai is Nahare. These new origins of the characters not only alter their roles but also add new layers to the characters we have known for quite a long time.

One of the recent revelations that continues to resonate with fans is when Vegeta showcases that he has achieved Super Saiyan 3. Over many decades, fans have debated how long the Saiyan Prince would be able to maintain this transformation and whether it has any relevance to the ongoing narrative.
Despite some controversies surrounding why Vegeta never used this form when fighting Beerus in the early days of Dragon Ball Super, fans have longed to see this transformation. Super Saiyan 3 has been overshadowed by Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, and Ultra Instinct, so it is likely that Vegeta will not revert to this form in future events, such as the Tournament of Power.
Daima is also expanding the universe of Dragon Ball in ways that many fans have never seen before, potentially laying the groundwork for many future adventures in the Super series.
