FromSoftware: A Renowned Name in Gaming Following the Success of Numerous Titles
It’s not difficult to highlight names like Sekiro, the Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, or most recently, Elden Ring, which have all achieved unprecedented success. And now, this legendary studio has just unveiled a completely new game title. However, there is some unfortunate news for PC gamers; specifically, it seems they will not have the opportunity to experience this title.
The Upcoming Game Is Titled The Duskbloods
The initial trailer reveals a world steeped in steampunk aesthetics, suggesting that this could either be an RPG title or even a soulslike game. However, the disappointing news is that The Duskbloods will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2.
From the first images, the world of The Duskbloods exudes Gothic style, reminiscent of Bloodborne. Players will step into a European city of the 19th century, filled with grand architecture, cobblestone streets, and towering glass structures. As for the combat mechanics, the gameplay will also exhibit many similarities to Dark Souls and Elden Ring. The trailer showcases ominous shadows of formidable enemies, including a monstrous creature reminiscent of the basilisk from Dark Souls.
This game was officially announced during the Nintendo Direct event, and the saddest news is that it will be exclusive to the Switch 2. Naturally, there remains a possibility that FromSoftware may bring The Duskbloods to PC in the future – though this is not guaranteed. However, if gamers do not wish to invest in a Nintendo Switch 2, they might only be able to observe this game from afar. Nevertheless, PC gamers still have some excitement to look forward to: the expansive DLC for Elden Ring, titled Nightreign, is on the horizon, and there are ongoing updates regarding Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Although it is quite disappointing, at least there’s something to look forward to. Elden Ring: Nightreign – the new project from FromSoftware – is unlikely to let gamers down as it continues the successful legacy of this renowned series. Elden Ring: Nightreign is set to debut on May 30th this year.
