One thing is for sure, you don’t have to be a hardcore fan of Spider-Man to know that when mentioning the name Venom, it refers to one of Spider-Man’s most iconic adversaries since the 1980s up to the present day.
Venom is a character from Marvel created through the collaboration of authors like Randy Schueller, Todd McFarlane, David Michelinie, and Mike Zeck. Venom itself is an extraterrestrial symbiote, living parasitically on a host to create various chaotic and terrifying effects for those around it.
On screen, Venom has also appeared and has become the dark counterpart of Peter Parker after separating from Spider-Man’s original host. Many audiences in Vietnam are likely more familiar with him being referred to as the “Dark Avenger”.
According to Marvel’s recent announcement, after a prolonged absence, Venom has finally separated from its host, which was once Flash Thompson, and is currently searching for a new host. In Venom #1, Venom will officially return and wreak havoc much more intensely than before.
Who will Venom bond with?
Venom has a long-standing rivalry with Spider-Man, and audiences are likely to associate him primarily as Spider-Man’s iconic adversary. However, in reality, Venom has also had encounters with characters such as Deadpool and Eddie Brock…
The latest host for Venom is Flash Thompson, a soldier who lost a leg during combat, and now merges with Venom to fight for the greater good of SHIELD. Unfortunately, after this, Venom has sought to escape and detach from this host to find a new one named Lee Price.
Will Venom become stronger than before?
The unique point to note is that Venom will be able to communicate, and audiences will follow the internal struggle between the host and Venom. Additionally, audiences will witness how, after a long time bonding with Flash Thompson, Venom has slightly influenced the character, seeking joy in fighting for the right cause.
As for Lee Price, a soldier who lost a finger during combat, he seeks to do something different from what the new powers that Venom brings. He wishes to be recognized, to be involved in evil deeds, and to satisfy his violent tendencies.
Thus, once again in history, Venom will re-emerge with his sinister form, coupled with the new host’s darker traits, promising to become significantly stronger than before.
