However, in a recent conversation, Tom Holland expressed that there is still uncertainty regarding Spider-Man’s future in the Marvel cinematic universe. After the standalone film Spider-Man: Homecoming, it is very likely that Spider-Man will eventually have to leave the Marvel universe.
When asked about the new information surrounding Spider-Man’s appearance in the next Avengers film, the young actor replied: “Everything is still very much up in the air. I think there will be some agreements reached regarding this matter, but right now I don’t know anything at all.”
It can be noted that while the fans have shown great enthusiasm, there is still no assurance that Spider-Man will maintain a long-term presence in the Marvel universe, especially considering that the character’s film rights still belong to Sony.
Thus, if after Spider-Man: Homecoming, Sony and Marvel do not reach any further agreements or if there is any obstruction, it is very possible that this young hero will not appear in the upcoming Marvel films, including Avengers: Infinity War.
