Recently, according to the Hype account, one of the most reputable sources specializing in news about Dragon Ball, the legendary author Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1 (local time) at the age of 68. The cause of the sudden death of the iconic creator has been attributed to acute subdural hematoma.

Born in 1955, author Akira Toriyama is best known for his iconic manga series Dragon Ball (Vietnamese title: 7 Viên Ngọc Rồng), which has connected with numerous generations of global readers. Characters such as Son Goku, Vegeta, and Bulma have become legendary figures and symbols of the manga/anime community. There have been countless products inspired by this series, and many manga creators after him greatly admire Akira Toriyama.

In addition, Toriyama was known for other notable works, including Dr. Slump. In 2006, he collaborated with One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda to produce the one-shot Cross-Epoch. Previously, in 1986, he participated in designing characters for the Dragon Quest video game series.
