Ubisoft has long been renowned for its strategy of supporting its games over an extended period after their release.
This approach has allowed titles like Rainbow Six Siege and For Honor to maintain strong appeal over the years. The well-known publisher is also applying this same strategy to its latest projects. Skull and Bones recently showcased a series of major updates during its free-to-play testing phase, and notably, Star Wars Outlaws has also undergone significant improvements in its overall design.

Launching internationally, Star Wars Outlaws initially received rather lukewarm feedback from game industry experts.
Many reviews suggest that this game offers a somewhat exhilarating experience but falls short in its less appealing world-building elements and linear gameplay. However, Massive Entertainment, in collaboration with Ubisoft, has continuously worked to address these key issues, focusing on enhancing aspects such as combat mechanics, character control, and AI behavior of NPCs. Currently, Ubisoft is being quite transparent about the improvements being made. Specifically, the publisher has just released a free demo version, allowing players to experience the gameplay of Star Wars Outlaws and make decisions regarding whether or not to invest in the full game.

This is also an ideal time to revisit Outlaws, as the second expansion pack – A Pirate’s Fortune – is set to officially launch on May 15th. Although the expectations surrounding Star Wars Outlaws remain high, even with the availability of the free demo version, many players are still hesitant to spend money, especially with this new title priced at nearly 1.2 million.

Of course, if you want to ride the wave and experience a fresh gaming world, Star Wars Outlaws can still be seen as a solid choice for gamers.
