Gen.G’s Strategy Before Facing T1: A Significant Responsibility
Recently, Gen.G secured a crucial victory against T1, setting the stage for their first encounter in the MSI 2025 finals. This result is a significant achievement for Gen.G, although it cannot overshadow the fact that T1 had a very strong start. Moreover, there are still concerns about their performance in game 4, and without some luck, it remains uncertain how well they can progress. Gen.G’s performance on this challenging day was notably impacted by Chovy and Canyon’s underwhelming plays.

Throughout the five games, Chovy’s impact was quite minimal. In particular, his use of Ahri during game 4 could be considered a disaster. He failed to make significant plays and often found himself losing a vital source of damage during team fights, continuously being targeted. Aside from game 4, his performance in the other four games could only be rated as average.
As for Canyon, he performed well in games 1 and 2. Even in game 3, Canyon managed to create favorable conditions for his team. However, games 4 and 5 saw him struggle, reminiscent of his performance during the 2020 Worlds. If it weren’t for the strong efforts from Ruler and Duro, Canyon might have been unable to make any impactful plays during this match.

Is T1 Still Stronger than Gen.G?
T1 showed great potential at the beginning of the game, but a few overly aggressive plays caused them to be “overwhelmed.” However, this match highlighted that T1 is currently a very strong team and could potentially secure victories if they maintain their focus.

And T1 will have another chance to improve if they can overcome BLG/AL in the upcoming finals. Meanwhile, Gen.G has demonstrated their strength and, regardless of who their opponent is among the three teams remaining in MSI 2025, they will not be intimidated. However, for this to happen, Chovy must regain his form as he continues to deliver performances that only meet the highest standards.
