Famous VCS Streamer Falls Victim to “Scam” Due to Familiar Payment Patterns
In recent years, high-tech scams have become increasingly common, yet many individuals still fall prey to them annually. Typically, the victims are older individuals who may not be well-versed in technology, or busy professionals who have a habit of making online purchases. Recently, a well-known figure in the VCS community became a victim of such a scheme, namely the streamer N.

Specifically, on his personal page, N. reported that he had been scammed by someone posing as a delivery driver who requested a money transfer for a delivery. Afterward, the scammer informed N. that he had sent a bank account number. Immediately, there was a bank account linked to assist N. in retrieving the money from the “delivery driver.”
After a series of transactions, N. found himself scammed out of a total of 22 million VND. Remarkably, the scammer even had the audacity to challenge the streamer when he reported the incident to the police.

The VCS Community Stirs with the Incident of the Streamer
In the comments section of N.’s post, many expressed sympathy for his financial loss, but they also noted that he had let his guard down. “These messages are clearly scams, why didn’t N. realize this sooner?” commented one user.
Furthermore, many also pointed out that this type of scam is not new. Although it appears simple, it tends to target individuals with habitual online shopping behaviors, like N., who regularly transfers money after placing an order. A moment’s lapse in judgment can easily turn anyone into a “victim” of such scams.

The streamer himself has also taken to social media to warn the community. Losing money is never pleasant, but it becomes even harder when the victim is someone who regularly engages in money transfers. This incident serves as a valuable lesson for both the streamer and the broader community.
