Introducing a New Gacha Game: “Youxing Continent” Inspired by Genshin Impact
It’s undeniable that since its release, Genshin Impact has become a phenomenon, leading the gacha game genre into the spotlight. After nearly five years of dominating the gaming scene, the popularity of Genshin Impact shows no signs of cooling down. To this day, it remains a source of inspiration for many other gacha games that are emerging and achieving success.

However, not every new game draws inspiration from Genshin Impact while maintaining a unique identity. A prime example is the recently launched beta version of a game titled Youxing Continent, developed by a studio from China.

Currently, Youxing Continent has just launched its beta version but has already received a lot of negative feedback from players. On Steam, the game has garnered a “Mostly Negative” rating. Although it is available for free, this doesn’t seem to be enough to “save” it from critical reviews.
How Does Youxing Continent Compare to Genshin Impact?
There’s no need to elaborate too much on the “similarities” between Youxing Continent and Genshin Impact. First and foremost, in terms of visuals, the anime style with bright and vibrant colors, along with the lively graphics of Youxing Continent, is strikingly reminiscent of “total imitation.”

In terms of combat mechanics, interface design, and gameplay elements, Youxing Continent does not offer anything notably innovative. Many players feel like they are playing a “beta version” of Genshin Impact rather than an independent game with its own creative ideas.

It is essential to clarify that the line between “drawing inspiration” and “copying” is very thin. The case of Youxing Continent serves as a prime example of how a new product can quickly become outshined by the original due to a lack of creativity. Although this game is still in its beta testing phase, with the negative feedback from players, the developers need to reconsider their strategy if they wish to remain competitive in the market.
