According to Red Star News, the police department of Khúc Giang under the Public Security Bureau of Khúc Xuyên district recently received reports about a gambling game operating illegally in the area. The informant revealed that this gambling game was being played in the store of a local man, using counterfeit currency to play, which caused significant financial losses for him. After receiving the report, the police promptly initiated an investigation.
The store owner mentioned that recently, many customers had noticed discrepancies in the serial numbers of the counterfeit coins used in the gambling games compared to earlier batches, leading them to suspect that these were new, counterfeit coins. Following this, the store classified all the counterfeit coins in the machine and discovered over 3,000 coins that were not from the establishment.

Based on the store’s model, the police quickly identified the suspect as Chen (male, 28 years old) and summoned him to the police station.
Chen confessed that previously, he had spent money in the store at a price of 0.44 yuan (approximately 1,500 VND) for a gambling coin. He believed this price was too low.
At the same time, he inadvertently discovered that gambling coins were being sold online for 476 yuan (1.6 million VND), allowing him to purchase 4,300 coins, which he then spent on counterfeit coins. He used 3,138 coins to operate the gambling machine, causing the store owner to lose over 1,000 yuan (nearly 3.5 million VND).

The conclusion for this gambling case is that Chen is currently under administrative detention according to regulations.
