Kazuha is Jealous of… Shinichi Kudo

Kazuha initially was not close to the Ran – Sonoko group but got acquainted through Hattori. When she first met Ran’s group, Kazuha felt distant because she believed Hattori was interested in some girl named Shinichi. Moreover, Kazuha was also jealous of Ran because she thought Ran was the girl Hattori liked. Eventually, Kazuha realized that Shinichi is indeed the main male character in our story. This also marks a poignant moment that helped Kazuha get introduced in Conan, and she became close friends with both Ran and Sonoko.
The Symbol of Love is the Arm Wrestling Match

Hattori once recounted the story of an arm wrestling match between him and Kazuha, where both were determined to win against each other. That day, Kazuha and Hattori had to spend time together, from eating to sleeping, until they had to go to the bathroom. Fortunately, by the end of the day, the arm wrestling match ended in a tie, allowing both to escape the situation. However, Kazuha viewed this as a significant memory, and that arm wrestling match became a symbol of their budding feelings for each other. Even as they grew older, Kazuha still kept a strong grip on her feelings just like the arm wrestling match.
The Rescue at the Cliff

In the case titled “The Mermaid Who Doesn’t Exist,” Hattori and Kazuha faced a “life-or-death” situation that left the detective stunned. During the investigation, when Hattori fell off the cliff, Kazuha screamed and rushed to grab him. Kazuha slid down, and Hattori jumped after her, both holding on tightly to each other’s hands. Despite Kazuha wanting Hattori to let go, even going as far as to hurt his hand, Hattori remained adamant, stating, “Even if I die, I won’t let go of your hand.” Fortunately, they both ended up safe, bringing a moment that was both thrilling and heartwarming.
“What are you doing, Kazuha?”

In the episode Conan and Heiji “The Love Mystery,” Kazuha was given a name that drew Hattori’s attention and curiosity. Upon hearing this name, which had a negative connotation towards Kazuha, Hattori quickly flew into a rage, exclaiming, “What are you doing, Kazuha?” This statement left Kazuha utterly surprised and even made Conan feel embarrassed. Afterward, Conan frequently used this line to assert dominance over his friends. Later, he attempted to erase this line from his memory, yet it was still frequently referenced among the detective group. Even Haibara recorded this line as a memorable quote.
Failed Romantic Attempts

Though “the feelings are clear yet awkward,” this couple has yet to become an official couple. The reason both have yet to acknowledge their feelings for each other stems from a lack of communication. Throughout the series, Hattori has tried many times to confess his feelings to Kazuha but has always failed. Recently, in “Conan: The Famous Detective: The Five-Pointed Star and the Million Dollar Dream,” Hattori was shown preparing to confess his feelings to Kazuha once more. Will this time the detective from the West succeed?
