2025 Season of TES Labeled as “No Hope”
During the transfer period for the 2025 season, TES has made several blockbuster signings that have sparked a lot of hope among fans. Specifically, they brought in two superstars, Kanavi and Crisp, after releasing Tian and Meiko earlier this month. Given Kanavi’s previous MSI championship and Crisp’s status as a 2023 World Championship veteran, many fans believe that TES had to spend at least the budget typical for LPL (approximately 10 million CNY/year, equivalent to about 35 billion VND) to attract top talent this time.

However, what TES has achieved after these signings does not seem to align with the expenditures. TES faced defeat against a team considered a “dark horse” named AL at the Demacia Cup 2024. Even when entering the official LPL season, TES continued to struggle against AL, losing with a disappointing score of 1-3, which left fans disheartened. Explaining this series of unfortunate results, TES coach Homme shared that the team is currently lacking discipline. If this situation continues, this season could be seen as “no hope” for TES.

“I feel a deep sense of disappointment when witnessing my team’s failures in such a harsh manner. The players seem to lack discipline as they continuously engage in fights without assessing whether the situation is favorable or not. I will find ways to address this issue as soon as possible. If not, the team will likely have no hope this season, whether for winning titles or simply improving our performance,” Coach Homme expressed in his reflection on the team’s failures.

TES Faces Tough Times in the 2025 Season
In the current LPL, there are numerous strong teams competing for the regional championship title. Alongside the formidable performance of AL, NIP is also showing a strong commitment as they are currently holding the top position after acquiring Doinb. Another strong contender, IG, is also undergoing a major overhaul with star players like TheShy and Rookie. Meanwhile, JDG and WBG are also showcasing high-quality rosters that suggest they will not be left behind in the ongoing LPL competition.

In contrast to TES, it seems they are currently lagging behind compared to other teams in the LPL, where their performance has been notably lacking in discipline. It’s worth noting that during the 2024 season, the main contenders for TES in LPL were only BLG and WBG, but neither of them could secure any titles. As we look ahead to the 2025 season, the competition is getting fiercer with many teams strengthening their rosters, making the hope of TES achieving any title increasingly dim. Unless there are significant improvements, especially in their gameplay, TES may find it hard to have any hope of winning titles, as Coach Homme has mentioned.
