Bane vs Batman (Knightfall, 1993)
Although Batman has defeated Bane numerous times, in Knightfall (1993), there was a confrontation that made DC fans acknowledge that Bane is still one of Batman’s most formidable foes, especially when he can catch him off guard in the most unexpected ways.
In this part, Batman has become exhausted from his relentless battle against crime, and Bane has been stalking Batman, taking advantage of this to potentially break him once and for all. Bane succeeded in making Batman face the most terrifying threats, and when Batman returned to the Batcave to rest, Bane appeared, shattering Batman’s spine with just one blow.
Doomsday vs Justice League International (Justice League America #69)
Any true fan knows that once Doomsday comes into play, it’s hard to keep the heroes alive. In the comic book “The Death of Superman” released in 1993, Doomsday killed Superman, a villain whose power level has yet to be matched by any character to this day.
In the comic book version we refer to here, Doomsday faced off against the entire Justice League team. Doomsday, at that moment, was barely restrained and the Justice League was focusing all their strength on hoping to bring him down. However, despite their best efforts, they could do little to inflict any damage on Doomsday, who effortlessly broke free from their grasp… A devastating defeat for the Justice League!
Thor vs Iron Man (Thor #3)
In the Civil War event, Iron Man sought a way to win this battle, which meant using Thor’s hair DNA to create a clone of Thor called Ragnarok, using it to fight against Captain America. This maneuver left Thor quite furious.
Later, when the government “summoned” Tony Stark to discuss the limitations of superhero activities, Thor confronted Iron Man for just a few seconds and reminded Tony that he was just a man in a suit of armor, not a god…
Magneto has long been a formidable enemy of the X-Men, and it’s hard to find any foe that can challenge Wolverine more than him. In the 1993 comic book edition, Fatal Attraction, Magneto once again threatened the safety of all humanity, and the X-Men had to unite to stop Magneto.
