The Controversy Surrounding the “Hard to Believe” Trac Viet Skin in League of Legends
Recently, Riot Games released a video introducing the upcoming season of League of Legends, which has generated significant interest. Alongside information about the new season set in Ionia, the Flower Soul team also introduced several highly anticipated skins, including Ashe, Irelia, and Bard. Additionally, Riot has not forgotten the “core skins” that will serve as the new prestige skins, with significant adjustments aimed at improving the gameplay experience in League of Legends.

However, the promotional campaign for the next season of League of Legends has faced a major “stumble.” According to reports from the PBE (Public Beta Environment), Ashe’s Flower Soul skin has been classified under the Trac Viet category. While Riot’s official announcement states that this skin will only be a Legendary tier, the Trac Viet skin to follow will be Sahn-Uzal Mordekaiser.

It is important to note that according to information from YouTuber SkinSpotlights, Ashe’s skin was indeed designed to follow the Trac Viet theme after Mordekaiser. Another piece of evidence supporting this claim is that in the League of Legends beta, the Ionia-themed skins, except for the green team featuring Morgana, are represented by Ashe. It is well-known that Morgana’s skin belongs to the Flower Soul category and is confirmed to be of the Trac Viet tier, making it highly likely that Ashe’s skin will also be under this classification.

It is worth noting that the Sahn-Uzal Mordekaiser skin has been criticized for being overly reliant on the character model, leading to a loss of distinctiveness. As a result, Ashe’s Flower Soul skin has been downgraded to Legendary tier to avoid the “backlash” from the community. This indicates that the Trac Viet skins from Riot tend to maintain the quality of a Legendary skin, and this has been a point of contention among players.
The Community’s Response to the Trac Viet Skin in League of Legends
Following the widespread sharing of this information on social media, many League of Legends players have expressed their strong opinions regarding Riot Games’ approach. Some believe that the decision to sell this skin at a high price is a questionable move that could lead to backlash. Moreover, the quality of Trac Viet skins has reportedly declined over recent times, raising concerns about their value.

In recent years, Riot Games has continuously faced criticism from the community regarding the pricing and quality of skins. There is a growing sentiment that if the community does not voice their concerns, the quality of the Flower Soul skins may remain inconsistent and could lead to further issues in the future.
