Lyney, The Wizard of Phantasmagoria and Lynette, The Elegance of Shadows are two new characters introduced in the popular video game Genshin Impact, which was launched globally on August 16 in Version 4.0.

Recently, these two characters have been reported to be “doppelgängers” of two characters from a famous animated series. According to comments, the new characters in Genshin Impact bear a striking resemblance to Angéle Carré and Charlotte from the series Princess Principal. This series was released in 2017, long before Genshin Impact debuted.
Fans have even taken the time to create several images that highlight the similarities between the characters.
The first similarity noted is between Charlotte and Lynette. The design of Lynette’s dress and her long dark hair style appear quite alike.

Next, the similarity between Angéle and Lyney stands out, particularly in their hair styles and appearance, which also show a close resemblance.

The similarities between these characters are undeniable. However, it is important to note that the circumstances surrounding their creation cannot be overlooked. Nevertheless, internet users have pointed out some remarkably clear similarities among the girls that cannot be ignored.
Before the launch of Genshin Impact, the gaming community had already discovered numerous points of similarity between the characters in this game and characters from various well-known anime series.
For example, when the character design of the healer Jean was revealed, many people compared her to Saber from the Fate series, as both share strikingly similar appearances. Furthermore, Fujiwara Chika looks like a younger version of Kokomi. Additionally, there are many similarities between Diluc from Genshin Impact and Brian Roscoe from Gosick. Both characters have distinct red hair, a cool demeanor, and are involved in adventurous storylines.
