When we think of Assassin’s Creed, the image of a stealthy assassin clad in a hooded cloak, agilely jumping across the rooftops of ancient European cities instantly comes to mind. With the growing interest from the gaming community, the highly anticipated game showcased at this year’s E3 is definitely not the only thing on fans’ minds; there’s also the upcoming Assassin’s Creed film set to premiere in 2016.
Behind-the-scenes clip of Assassin’s Creed
In addition to the latest trailer, the film’s production company, 20th Century Fox, along with Ubisoft, has released a behind-the-scenes clip for the Assassin’s Creed movie. This clip reveals how filmmakers create the stunning action scenes on rooftops, featuring the thrilling stunts performed by actor Michael Fassbender during filming.
If you are not aware, the Assassin’s Creed film is adapted from the video game of the same name, focusing on the protagonist Callum Lynch (played by Michael Fassbender), who is believed to have died.
This young man is subjected to an experiment where Callum Lynch will explore the memories of his ancestors over 500 years ago and gain the abilities of an assassin. Callum will use these assassin skills to fight against the formidable Templars, who are currently hunting him down in the Assassin’s Creed universe.
The film by 20th Century Fox is set to be completed and released on December 21, 2016.
