Uzi’s Rare Achievement: Surpassing Faker in Their Careers
As everyone knows, on the evening of June 12 (Vietnam time), Riot Games officially launched the Hall of Legends skin line for Uzi – the second professional player to receive this honor in the entire League of Legends (LoL) community, following Faker. Naturally, the skin line has sparked quite a debate since its initial appearance, immediately attracting significant attention. However, according to some recent sales statistics, Uzi has achieved a rare victory over Faker. And it all happens in… the LPL region.

Specifically, according to a statistics report from the LPL, Uzi’s Hall of Legends skin has sold a total of 6,632 units within 24 hours. For those who may not know, in LPL tradition, this number is 5.4 times higher compared to Faker’s Hall of Legends skin (which only sold 1,158 units in the same time frame). Thus, Uzi is now the highest-selling Hall of Legends skin holder in 24 hours, marking his second victory over Faker in his career. The first time was when Uzi represented the Chinese national team at the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.

Riot Games Strives to Match the Hall of Legends Skin Lines of Faker and Uzi
When referring to the legendary status within the LPL, almost all attention turns to Uzi, just as it does when discussing Faker in the LCK. Therefore, it’s crucial to recognize the impact that Uzi has on the LPL and League of Legends as a whole, which is not to be underestimated, if not regarded as monumental. To assess whether a player possesses legendary status, it should not only depend on achievements but also the influence they have on their respective esports scene.

And because of this, despite the intent to “promote the game,” Riot is indeed on the right path. If the statistics from the LPL are accurate, Uzi’s skin will contribute significantly to Riot’s revenue, and Uzi might not be the only LPL player holding this skin in the future.
