The “Ghost” Theory of Genshin Impact’s Gameplay Leaves miHoYo Astounded
In the community of Genshin Impact, players have long been accustomed to “theories” that often stretch the imagination. However, recently, a Vietnamese gamer has sent shockwaves through the community by proposing a theory that suggests Venti – the Anemo Archon of Mondstadt – might actually be a “hidden spy” or even a member of the Fatui Harbingers.

Specifically, according to this theory, in previous versions of Genshin Impact, splash art (promotional artwork for each version) frequently hinted at the main character’s role in the storyline. Notably, the Fatui Harbingers often take center stage in these artworks, appearing prominently, such as La Signora in Inazuma or Arlecchino in Fontaine… This creates a visual distinction between the main characters and the supporting cast.

However, in the latest splash art for the new version, there seems to be an unusual absence of clear character representations. Instead, the name that draws attention is Venti – known for his whimsical nature and carefree spirit. This time, Venti appears shrouded in shadows, with a cool-toned light illuminating his face, which raises the question: “Is Venti hiding a different identity, possibly that of a hidden Fatui Harbinger?”

The Enigmatic “Dark Room” Theory in the Genshin Impact Community
At first glance, this theory has garnered significant attention. In a short time, the Genshin Impact community has become divided into two opposing viewpoints. One side argues that this is merely a clever marketing strategy by miHoYo to enhance the intrigue of the storyline.

However, some community members believe that the situation indicates a deeper narrative connection. Clearly, Venti remains a significant entity, often choosing to observe rather than engage directly. Could this be a representation of his freedom, or is it a subtle way for him to manipulate the storyline from behind the scenes?

The theory becomes even more captivating when compared with existing lore and the various factions in the game, hinting that the Archons are not entirely innocent and may have alliances with other factions. If Venti is indeed a character with hidden motives, this would be the most unexpected twist in Genshin Impact to date. Even miHoYo might have to “take notes” from this Vietnamese player’s theory.
