Teams Dominating VCS Spark Controversy Among Vietnamese League of Legends Community
As we know, with Riot Games working with various teams and creating the APAC region, several top teams from VCS have transitioned to compete in the LCP tournament (GAM, MVKE, TSW). This situation has caused significant changes in the VCS league. Some teams have consistently underperformed, while new names have emerged prominently. Although the rules still limit the number of familiar names from past champions in VCS, the performances of current teams have left the Vietnamese League of Legends community increasingly worried.

Recently, Saigon MVK Academy (MVKA) faced off against Saigon Secret and secured a victory. However, in the second game of the match, both teams were assessed as “not much different from rank.” Furthermore, player Chika had a peculiar situation where, while competing against the opposing team, he ended up… leading and getting into a conflict.
Specifically, Chika is considered one of the most promising players in VCS for the Mid Lane position. He is one of only two players selected to train at DRX Academy, and even participated in a tournament prior to LazyFeel. However, with his recent performances, Chika has yet to demonstrate his true potential as expected.

The VCS Community’s Worries for the Future of League of Legends in Vietnam
In the context of LCP almost entirely revolving around teams from PCS, the VCS must accelerate its pace to adapt, but there is a lack of teams capable of keeping up. Among the three teams currently competing in LCP, the standout players are predominantly familiar names like Kiaya, Kati, Taki, etc. Meanwhile, the new players have yet to prove themselves adequately in specialized positions.

If VCS cannot keep pace, when veterans like Levi, Kati, or Kiaya have either left or are transitioning through their professional careers, the League of Legends community in Vietnam will face numerous challenges in the future.
