Following the resounding success of the live-action adaptation of The Jungle Book released in April, Disney continues to make waves with its upcoming live-action film titled Pete’s Dragon (Vietnamese title: Pete và Người Bạn Rồng), set to premiere in August.
With advanced CGI technology, this film promises to deliver stunning visuals and captivating scenes, featuring the life of Elliott, a giant dragon who has taken care of Pete as he grows up alone in the woods.
The latest trailer reveals numerous details about the meeting between the forest ranger Meacham and young Pete, along with the efforts to protect Elliott from various threats. Additionally, viewers will witness the deep bond between Pete and his dragon friend throughout the trailer. Will Elliott be able to escape the pursuit of humans, and can Pete integrate into modern life? The answers will be revealed in August.
Pete’s Dragon is based on the story of a young boy named Pete and his dragon friend Elliott. For years, ranger Meacham (played by Robert Redford) has been sharing tales of a fierce dragon living deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. However, his granddaughter Grace (played by Bryce Dallas Howard) has only heard these stories until she encounters Pete (played by Oakes Fegley).
Pete is a 10-year-old boy living in the forest with a giant green dragon named Elliott. According to Pete’s description, this special dragon closely resembles the creature from Meacham’s tales. With the help of 11-year-old Natalie (played by Oona Laurence), the daughter of lumber mill owner Jack (played by Wes Bentley), Grace discovers the origins of young Pete and the reality of his extraordinary dragon friend.
Pete’s Dragon is set to be released on August 26, 2016.
