On July 13, former President Donald Trump was shot while he was delivering a speech during a campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania. The incident left him injured, and a bystander was also hurt along with two others.
The suspect in this case has been identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old man who was on the roof of a building approximately 120 to 150 meters away from where Trump was speaking.
Following the incident, many social media users pointed out that an episode of the long-running animated series The Simpsons had previously predicted such a violent scenario during a broadcast prior to this assassination attempt, leaving many viewers puzzled.
Recently, social media users discovered that Channel 4 in the UK had also canceled the airing of an episode from Season 7 titled “Lisa The Iconoclast,” which originally aired in 1996.
Initially, this episode was scheduled to air on the morning of July 14. However, it has been replaced by another episode. A UK social media user mentioned that the reason for this change might be due to the content of the episode, which contained scenes that seemed to predict Trump’s shooting, featuring imagery of a gunman targeting the character Lisa.
Currently, Channel 4 has not provided an explanation for the temporary withdrawal of this program, but many viewers believe that the portrayal of the incident may be considered inappropriate given the recent events involving Trump.
