Recently, Oh-Ami, the company responsible for managing the famous AmiAmi store (a destination for anime and manga figure enthusiasts), has unveiled the ranking of the best-selling anime characters for January 2023 in Japan.
This article will not delve into the complete list but will highlight one particular character of interest. That character is Power from Chainsaw Man, who has surpassed many other prominent names to be among the top contenders on this ranking. Although she holds the 9th position, it’s clear that Power’s immense popularity has made a significant impact among fans.
Power is one of the main characters from the manga and anime series Chainsaw Man. She is a Blood Demon depicted as a teenage girl, approximately 17 to 20 years old. In the manga, Power is a unique member of the special team that serves under Makima. Her eccentric personality has undoubtedly contributed to her widespread appeal among the audience.
Notably, the Power figure will be available soon due to a collaboration between AmiAmi and AMAKUNI, the production and distribution company, and it will be made in a 1/7 scale. This product is expected to be released in April 2024. So how did she manage to feature in AmiAmi’s sales ranking? It turns out that despite not being officially launched yet, the pre-orders placed (starting from January 16, 2023) for the Power figure have been quite impressive.
The new Power figure stands approximately 270mm tall and is priced at ¥27,500 (around $209 or nearly 5 million VND). This figure showcases Power in her signature outfit, allowing Denji to interact with her, while she wields a dark-colored weapon—a favorite among fans of this Blood Demon character.
