The comic book version of Doctor Strange has mentioned Kaecilius multiple times as a powerful sorcerer, who was a former disciple of The Ancient One – Wong, and possesses immense magical abilities. Kaecilius is particularly noted for using a dagger imbued with magical properties instead of traditional spells like many other sorcerers.
For those unfamiliar with the story, Doctor Strange follows Stephen Strange, a world-renowned neurosurgeon. An unfortunate accident leaves Strange unable to continue his medical career, leading him to a life of despair. In search of healing and enlightenment, Strange decides to embark on a journey to distant lands.
