In the early 90s, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jet Li were among the brightest stars, their names synonymous with blockbuster success for every film they participated in. Arnold Schwarzenegger is widely recognized for his iconic portrayal of action heroes, while Jet Li is often associated with masterful martial arts performances. Although both have experienced a slight decline in prominence due to age, the legendary status of these two figures remains immensely cherished globally.
Recently, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jet Li will collaborate on an action film project that promises to be exciting. Can you guess which film it will be? It’s not The Expendables, but rather a project titled Journey to China: The Iron Mask Mystery.
In fact, this film is based on a Russian fairy tale. The production team behind it has spent several years gathering funding and seeking collaboration from a film studio in China, where both Jet Li and Arnold Schwarzenegger are set to feature prominently.
The film Journey to China will not only feature Schwarzenegger and Jet Li but also includes performances from Jason Flemyng and Charles Dance (known for his role as Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones), who will add depth to the project.
For those unaware, the previous version of Journey to China: The Iron Mask Mystery, titled Ivy, was released in 2014 and became a box office hit in Russia. However, it did not make a significant impact on the international market, prompting the producers to seek collaboration to create a new work featuring Jet Li alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.
