Final Fantasy XIV Mobile Launches in China
After several months of limited testing, Final Fantasy XIV Mobile has officially launched on both iOS and Android in China. Developed by LightSpeed Studios under the supervision of Square Enix, this mobile version coincides with the global release of A Realm Reborn, featuring a total of five playable races, including Miqo’te and Elezen, along with nine combat jobs beloved by players such as Warrior, Dragoon, and Bard.

The release of Final Fantasy XIV Mobile was confirmed for the first time in November 2024 when Naoki Yoshida, the producer and director of Final Fantasy XIV, announced the news on social media.

In recent months, the development team alongside Square Enix has continuously shared information, addressing player concerns regarding in-game purchases, particularly around microtransaction packages like glamour items, mounts, and consumables that alter character appearances. Notably, shortly after its launch, this game quickly secured the number one spot on the TapTap rankings.
Final Fantasy XIV Mobile Minimum Requirements for Smooth Gameplay
The main takeaway from Final Fantasy XIV Mobile is that its minimum system requirements are not too high, allowing players to experience the game on their mobile devices. Specifically, the game requires at least 20GB of storage space and 3.5GB of RAM, which means that a device like the iPhone XS is “sufficient” for running the game smoothly.

However, despite its relatively low requirements, the game does not compromise on graphical quality. On the contrary, Final Fantasy XIV Mobile maintains a distinct artistic style, from character creation to detailed outfits and effects that enhance gameplay. The lighting, shadow effects, and weather visuals are carefully designed to create an immersive experience, allowing players to fully enjoy the rich aesthetics of the Final Fantasy universe right in the palm of their hands.

Although Final Fantasy XIV Mobile is currently limited to the Chinese market, many players worldwide are eagerly awaiting the global release. Currently, both Square Enix and LightSpeed Studios have yet to confirm a specific timeline for this. Stay tuned for the latest updates regarding the game in the upcoming articles.
