The film also made it into the top 10 most-watched films globally in 78 territories, including various countries and regions across Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America.

Set against five stunning locations in Vietnam, the film’s global appeal has continued to showcase the country’s beauty worldwide. Irish screenwriter Eirene Tran Donohue shared her feelings about bringing a new perspective on the culture and reality of Vietnam to the international stage: “I am incredibly touched by the global response to the film A Tourist’s Guide to Love and particularly the exceptionally positive feedback from Vietnamese audiences worldwide. I have heard many people express pride in sharing their culture and country with the world. It is heartwarming to finally see my image represented positively on the screen.”
Despite its comedic premise, many viewers found the film to be much deeper than it appears. I have grown up in a context where no Hollywood film has ever presented Vietnam without referencing war. Vietnam is not just a story of conflict; it is a beautiful love story that the world can appreciate and celebrate. I hope this film can help change perceptions globally and create opportunities for more stories about Vietnam to be told.”

Lead actress Rachael Leigh Cook expressed her excitement: “All of us cast members are incredibly moved to see the film achieve the third spot in this week’s global Top 10 rankings. I believe this film represents the desire of many people to see and experience different cultures and build connections through a film like this. The star of our film is Vietnam, and we could not be happier to see Vietnam shine brightly.”
Sharing the film’s success, renowned artist Lê Thiện could not hide his emotions as he said: “I am very pleased to know that Vietnam’s rich culture and beautiful landscapes are now appreciated by many people globally. As a Vietnamese, I feel a deep pride to see our unique stories and traditions reflected through the lens of an international film crew.”
