The Grand Line (グランドライン, Gurando Rain) is the largest and most dangerous sea area in One Piece. It divides the Red Line into two halves. The first half stretches from the base of the Red Line to the end point of the Red Line. Although it does not have a name, it is often referred to as “Paradise” (楽園, Rakuen) among many pirates who have ventured to the New World.
The second half of the Grand Line is the New World – a completely different area than the previous one.
The second half, stretching from the other side of the Red Line to the opposite side of the base of the Red Line, is called the New World (新世界, Shin Sekai). The New World is a sea area that remains largely unexplored and was only discovered by the legendary pirate king Gol D. Roger. This area is referred to as the “Pirate’s Paradise” as it is the place where the three major pirate factions operate: the Shichibukai, the Marines, and the Yonkou. However, with their unending ambition and desire to uncover the treasure of One Piece, pirates from various seas continuously brave the Grand Line, aiming to reach the end, Raftel.

The Four Emperors are the most powerful pirates in the current world.
Firstly, this marine area is dominated by the Yonkou (四皇), meaning “Four Emperors,” who are considered the most powerful pirates today. All of the Emperors possess immense strength, including formidable ships and strong crewmates. The Four Emperors have previously engaged in fierce battles in the New World at various points in history, but they entered a state of conflict where pirate crews could not easily advance into the territory.
This is a result of the conflicts arising from the two major factions, the Marines and the Shichibukai, as well as the ongoing presence of other significant pirate crews in the New World.

The second faction is the Shichibukai (七武海), a group of notorious and powerful pirates allied with the World Government. The Shichibukai is one of the three major powers alongside the Yonkou and the Marines, maintaining the balance of the world.
Notably, the Shichibukai serves as a more flexible unit, mediating between the Yonkou and the Marines, ensuring that neither side gains the upper hand. The Shichibukai operates within the New World, often clashing with Yonkou or even engaging in battles with them.
The power of the Marines is immensely formidable.
The third faction is the Marines, a military organization enforcing law and order in the world. Their primary role is to uphold the law, protect national security, and execute military actions on the seas. The Marines operate throughout the globe, but their main forces are concentrated in the New World, where danger lurks far beyond other sea areas.
After the battle at Marineford, Akainu, upon taking the position of Fleet Admiral, decided to mobilize the Marines to the New World to prepare for the New Era of pirates.
Sanji is known as the ONLY ALIVE bounty in the world of One Piece.
Finally, the nations that are relatively powerful, such as Wano Country, the Mink Tribe, and the Vinsmoke family, each play significant roles in the world. It is clear that they do not require assistance to survive, standing out in the New World. We can reference the Vinsmoke family, known for their strength in the dangerous world.
Additionally, if the Vinsmoke family is merely a dominant clan within the dangerous world, how could they not have the Marines intervene by changing Sanji’s bounty to ONLY ALIVE? The Vinsmoke family could still arrange a bounty for Sanji along with a daughter of one of the Emperors (Big Mom).
