After its premiere, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has successfully completed its mission by connecting many details derived from Kang the Conqueror IV with a future full of challenges and grandeur.
The superheroes can travel through the multiverse
Before Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, traveling between universes was quite rare. Due to the multiverse being opened in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) accidentally pulled villains and variants of Spider-Man from different universes into the MCU. However, the consequences could potentially lead to the multiverse being destroyed.

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), even with the power of the Darkhold book, Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) could only travel into her own variants in other universes. The only one capable of this travel was America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez).
However, in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, superheroes can travel between universes through the technology of Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) and the Quantum Realm. According to Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), this realm is a dimension that exists outside of time, where other variants are trapped by Kang. If the Avengers previously traveled through the Quantum Realm in Avengers: Endgame (2019), they could potentially do the same with the multiverse.
Formation of the Young Avengers
Throughout Phase IV, Marvel Studios has been planning a superhero team centered around characters such as Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), Ironheart/Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), and America Chavez…

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has introduced a new key character: Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton) – the daughter of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd). She not only inherits the ability to shrink and grow like her father but also possesses the genius intellect of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). Cassie is the one who created the device that sends signals into the Quantum Realm in five years, using Hank’s most advanced technology.
In a new crisis where superheroes must face a villain with a genius intellect and technology like Kang, Cassie Lang is perfectly positioned to lead the nascent Young Avengers team, which has great potential.
The Kang Dynasty threatens to annihilate the superheroes
In the first after-credit scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, all variants of Kang gathered at a council led by Immortus, Scarlet Centurion, and Rama-Tut. According to the scene, they sense Kang’s death and the rising threat posed by the superheroes. They have gathered at the council to discuss how to potentially wipe out all superheroes.

Thus, the Kang Council is planning to wipe out all superheroes. This detail is directly related to the events in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (2025), where Kang officially invades Earth and Avengers: Secret Wars (2026), where the superheroes must face various parallel universes to avoid annihilation.
The threat to Marvel superheroes is not just a matter of their powers but a vast multiverse that is still strong and potentially even more powerful than Kang. However, the Kang the Conqueror version has not yet reached its full potential, as it is still in its early stages of development. The upcoming battle is expected to be incredibly fierce and grand.
Links to the next MCU projects
In the variants that appear in the Kang Council, viewers may notice a few versions are Skrulls. This detail potentially connects to the events in Secret Invasion (2023) – a mini-series where Skrulls infiltrate humanity from within.

In the second after-credit scene, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) officially returns in the sequence following Avengers: Endgame. He and Mobius (Owen Wilson) seek a variant of Kang known as Victor Timely. This is a continuation of the cliffhanger from the mini-series Loki (2021) when Loki was pulled through another universe by Sylvie (Sophia di Martino).
The film’s events are the reason the MCU reconnects with the universe when Sylvie kills a variant of Kang known as He Who Remains. Additionally, this after-credit scene also hints at the second season of Loki (2023), where Victor Timely will play a crucial role, possibly aiding the superheroes in facing other variants of himself.
Therefore, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is not just an entertaining film but also contains many details related to the future of the MCU. The film is a crucial piece leading to numerous intriguing events and deeper connections in the next phase of this blockbuster franchise.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is currently showing in theaters nationwide.
