Lionsgate recently held a screening of John Wick 4 to gather insights from critics and fans. The majority of reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, with some even stating: “This is the most definitive action movie to date.”

Continuing from the events of the third film, John Wick will face off against the High Table. On an international scale, the film features many high-stakes confrontations, and it is predicted to be more intense than its predecessors. Audiences are eagerly anticipating the showdown between Keanu Reeves and Donnie Yen.
Currently, on various international review platforms, John Wick has received impressively high ratings: 88% – a fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, 77 on Metacritic, a perfect 10/10 from critic Tom Jorgensen of IGN, and 90/100 from The Hollywood Reporter…
On social media, particularly Twitter, fans have been quick to praise John Wick 4.
Critic Molly Edwards from GamesRadar commented: “John Wick 4 is on a completely different level. The action sequences are the most outstanding in the entire series. Keanu Reeves is as fierce as ever. This installment introduces new characters and plot points that all feel very engaging. It’s my favorite film to date.”
Vanessa Armstrong from Slash Film noted: “The action scenes are brilliantly choreographed, visually stunning, and emotionally impactful. Moreover, the psychological aspect of John Wick 4 has been well-developed, adding depth to the narrative about love and relationships.”
However, not everyone is enamored with John Wick 4. The critical outlet The Guardian scored it 2 out of 5, stating that the film is too lengthy, overly detailed, and lacks anything beyond the usual action tropes.
“John Wick has lost its unique character since the second installment, and what remains focuses solely on expanding the universe, aiming to create more sequels or spin-offs,” The Guardian lamented.
John Wick: Chapter 4 premiered on March 24.
