In the world of Naruto, the Nine-Tails, Kurama, is one of the nine tailed beasts extracted from the Ten-Tails. For a long time, he was viewed as a mindless monster that wreaked havoc during wars, leading him to have a pessimistic view of humanity.
However, after Kurama was “enlightened” by Naruto, both became good friends and allies by the end of Naruto Shippuden. The fox also played a crucial role in helping achieve victory for the Allied Shinobi Forces in the Fourth Great Ninja War. Even in the Boruto anime, Kurama sacrificed his life to empower Naruto with Baryon Mode – a form that grants immense power and utilizes Kurama’s chakra to combat Otsutsuki Isshiki.
It is evident that after decades of being regarded as a monstrous entity, Kurama was willing to sacrifice himself to protect humanity, especially when Naruto was in danger.
Nonetheless, it cannot be denied that Kurama bears significant responsibility for Naruto becoming a host for a tailed beast, especially during his early childhood.

In the past, Kurama once attacked the Leaf Village, causing Minato and Kushina to perish. At that time, Kurama was only being manipulated by Uchiha Obito to attack the Leaf Village. After being freed from Obito’s control, Kurama’s first desire was to take Naruto’s life force. The fox did not want to be sealed again, nor did he want to be used as a weapon.
Thus, although Kurama could escape responsibility for the attack on the Leaf Village, regarding the sacrifice of Naruto’s parents, the fox’s involvement is clear. Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki sacrificed their lives to protect Naruto and seal Kurama, saving the Leaf Village.

Despite Kurama’s main goal being freedom (considering that Kurama only wanted to be free and not used as a weapon by humans), his past actions had a detrimental impact on Naruto’s parents and forced the boy to endure a painful childhood filled with suffering.
