Tzu Kam Cheung, born in 1961, is a prominent actor in the Chinese entertainment industry. He began his acting career in 1977 in Hong Kong, China.

With a tall stature of 1.86 meters and a rugged appearance, he often received offers for action roles. However, despite over a decade in the film industry, he struggled to find his footing. It wasn’t until the 1990s that Tzu Kam Cheung gained fame through low-budget films. His notable films during this period include The Heroic Trio 1 (1991), The Heroic Trio 2: The Return of the Heroine (1996), The Heroic Trio 3 (1998), The Avenging Eagle (1987), and The Scent of Love (1996). He became known as the “King of Low-Budget Films” in Hong Kong.
Alongside his acting roles, he was also highly regarded for his portrayal of characters like Ngao Bai in Lộc Đỉnh Ký (1992, 2000, and 2008), Lỗ Trí Thâm in Thủy Hử Truyền (1993), and Thần in The Heroic Trio (1994), among others.
Despite his tough on-screen image, Tzu Kam Cheung is known to be a warm-hearted person in real life, beloved by many. His romantic relationship with actress An Chúc Bình was not without its challenges, as was evident in their public appearances.
Three Encounters and a Marriage After 30 Years
In one interview, Tzu Kam Cheung opened up about his love for An Chúc Bình, recounting their first meeting and how he nervously proposed to her right away.
At that time, the 60s actor was in Van Nam (China) for filming. While taking a break, Tzu Kam Cheung saw female soldiers training and was instantly captivated by a girl with strikingly big eyes and a beautiful face. That girl was An Chúc Bình.

After nervously confessing, “I will marry you!” he boldly approached An Chúc Bình, starting the conversation with, “I am actor Tzu Kam Cheung. Tomorrow I have to leave. I like you. Let’s get married!” Unsurprisingly, Tzu Kam Cheung was immediately rejected.
However, fate had other plans. A year later, they met again in Beijing (China). Tzu Kam Cheung asked An Chúc Bình for another chance to prove his sincerity. He brought a pair of shoes that held special meaning, along with evidence of his wealth to impress her before expressing his deep feelings, comparing her to the majestic Hoàng Quả Thủy waterfall, known as one of the largest waterfalls in China and Southeast Asia.
It was Tzu Kam Cheung’s firm determination that led him to meet An Chúc Bình for the third time in 1992, where they officially became a couple.
After their marriage registration, Tzu Kam Cheung moved back to Hong Kong (China), transferring all his wealth to his wife’s name. Sources close to the couple indicated that actor Lộc Đỉnh Ký didn’t mind. He stated, “That girl is my wife, and her wealth is rightfully hers.”
Over the past 30 years, Tzu Kam Cheung has managed to speak out and act with clarity. On set, he is often seen as a tough character, but in real life, he is a reserved and private person. In front of his wife, he is always gentle, caring, and loving.
He once shared that the key to maintaining a long-lasting and harmonious relationship is to love each other deeply. On their wedding anniversary, he posted a charming photo of the two together at 8:26 PM on February 26, with a touching caption: “Waiting for you to grow old together.”
Tzu Kam Cheung and An Chúc Bình have one son, named Tzu Phi. Tzu Phi inherits handsome features from both parents and is currently pursuing a career in singing and acting.
