Recently, the animated film “Doraemon: Nobita and the Land of Infinite Dreams” has achieved a remarkable box office performance during its special screening on May 20-21 nationwide. According to data from the distributor, during these two days, the film grossed approximately 10 billion VND, attracting nearly 110,000 viewers. This figure establishes “Doraemon: Nobita and the Land of Infinite Dreams” as the highest-grossing sneak preview in the entire “Doraemon” film franchise in Vietnam.
Compared to the morning screening of the previous installment – “Nobita and the Little Space War,” the revenue from this new film is double that amount. The film “Nobita and the Little Space War” also achieved significant success with a limited screening time in Anime theaters, becoming the highest-grossing film ever in Vietnam.

Critically acclaimed, the film embodies the spirit of its creator, Fujiko F. Fujio. “Doraemon: Nobita and the Land of Infinite Dreams” presents a touching storyline that, while simple, conveys deep meanings about friendship, empathy, and personal growth. Rather than focusing on typical “saving the world” battles, this installment emphasizes emotional evolution, encouraging viewers to cherish their relationships.
Alongside the engaging plot, audiences have praised the vibrant animation of this film. Character design and the settings are noted for their creativity and appeal. Notably, the character of Shizuka, with her expressive emotions, consistently captured the audience’s hearts. The splendid scenery of the fictional land, Paradapia, dazzled viewers and enhanced their immersive experience in the film.

The film not only dazzles with its visuals but also features stunning imagery throughout, showcasing the immense drawing power of the Shizuka character in Vietnam. On December 19th at the Book Fair (Hanoi) and Ho Chi Minh City, many activities related to Doraemon attracted significant attention from young audiences.
Activities related to Doraemon will continue to take place at the Hanoi Book Fair and Ho Chi Minh City until early June, creating a joyful destination for children during the upcoming Children’s Day celebrations.
