The film Survival War has officially reached its conclusion. In the final episode, the evil acts of Shim Jun Seok and the tragic fate of Min Do Hyuk (Lee Joon) were publicly revealed by Chief Shim Yong through the media. Ironically, after the chaos, he found himself alive alongside his biological son. As for Shim Jun Seok (Uhm Ki Joon), he had already devised a plan for revenge. Not only that, but before heading into the chaos, he also sowed seeds of doubt for Min Do Hyuk, making efforts to eliminate him.
Shim Jun Seok detonated a bomb at the building’s perimeter, while simultaneously setting a trap for the opposing group. Naturally, the team comprising Cha Joo Ran (Shin Eun Kyung), Geum Ra Hee (Hwang Jung Eum), Go Myung Ji (Jo Yoon Hee), and Nam Chul Woo (Jo Jae Yoon) quickly fell into Shim Jun Seok’s schemes. However, Han Mo Ne (Lee Yoo Bi) and Yang Jin Mo (Yoon Jong Hoon) surprisingly turned the tide, giving Min Do Hyuk an unexpected edge. The moment the two revealed hidden resources that Chief Bang had overlooked, Min Do Hyuk seemed to accept defeat.
Shim Jun Seok nonchalantly walks away.
Ultimately, as both sides climbed towards the rooftop, Shim Jun Seok activated the final bomb to eliminate Min Do Hyuk. At this moment, Kang Ki Tak and Lee Hwi So appeared to assist him. In a dramatic scene, Kang Ki Tak embraced Min Do Hyuk as they jumped from the rooftop, leaving their fates uncertain. Meanwhile, Lee Hwi So, unable to escape, tragically perished in the flames.
This is the definitive conclusion of the film. Although the good characters were eliminated, including Min Do Hyuk’s family and his daughter Bang Da Mi, Shim Jun Seok did not face any repercussions. It seems that this situation will only escalate in the next season of the show.
The film Survival War has now aired on SBS.
