In a recent interview with Esquire Middle East, director Andy Muschietti revealed that Nicolas Cage will make a cameo appearance in “The Flash” as Superman. This information has generated significant buzz among Nicolas Cage fans. Muschietti shared, “Cage is an amazing actor. Even though he is participating in The Flash as a guest star, he was always enthusiastic on set. I had the opportunity to work with Cage and hope to meet him again in future projects.”
Nicolas Cage’s passion for the Superman character runs deep. In 2015, the actor, along with his then-wife Alice Kim, named their son Kal-El, which is Superman’s birth name from the planet Krypton. Cage had previously been set to play the superhero in Tim Burton’s 1998 project “Superman Lives.” However, production issues, particularly budgetary constraints, led to the film being shelved.

“The Flash” revolves around Barry Allen (Ezra Miller), who uses his super-speed abilities to travel back in time to prevent the murder of his mother. Allen’s decision creates ripples across the multiverse and opens up the opportunity to confront General Zod (Michael Shannon). Hoping to fix his mistakes, he must ally with other superheroes from different timelines.
Currently, The Flash is the fastest superhero on Earth. Barry Allen has the ability to run at speeds comparable to light, which allows him to harness additional powers such as time travel, dimension hopping, and even traversing through solid objects. Furthermore, his incredible speed also serves as a defense against various types of threats.
“The Flash” is set to be released on June 16.
